Spacious holiday house surrounded by nature

The house is ideal if you want to spend some time in peace and quiet surrounded by nature. It is located in a valley, next to the lively stream Hotenjka surrounded with pastures and woods. To the west, there is a view of some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps.

Outside there is a terrace overlooking the stream Hotenjka and a fruit orchard. The location is ideal for mountain biking. You can also go hiking; a few-minute-drive away is the Idrijca river where you can find numerous fishing and swimming spots. There is also a chance of organized hunting with the local hunting association.

The house is built in a typical (Idrija-Cerkno) style on the foundations of over a 100-year-old mill’s homestead.

The modern furnished interior is divided into four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room with a dining room. Amenities enable comfortable accommodation and include a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and a bathtub. There is a fireplace which gives the house a warm and romantic atmosphere.

Nearby there are the towns Tolmin, Cerkno and Idrija, where you can taste local cuisine and get to know the history of the places nearby (you can visit the remains of the second largest mercury mine, follow the paths of the military Soča front or drive yourself towards Bohinj and then Bled on a motorail). For adventure enthusiasts there are several possibilities for water sports and paragliding. In the winter you can visit a nearby Cerkno ski resort.

    “We hebben een prima verblijf gehad in deze ruime en propere vakantiewoning. De woning is zeer goed uitgerust en leent zich makkelijk tot self-catering. De romantische tuin met zijn hot tub en beekje hebben ons vele uren verpozing bezorgd. In het woongedeelte misten we wat gezelligheid. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep per telefoon/bericht maar we werden op een charmante manier ontvangen door de schoonouders.
    Voor ons was dit een prima uitvalsbasis om de zuidkant van het Triglav Nationaal Park te ontdekken. (Tolmin, Idrija, Kobarid, Bovec, ...). De nabijgelegen rivier Idrija is een heerlijke plek om in een fantastisch decor te zwemmen en te zonnen.”

    “Das Haus ist wirklich toll und liegt traumhaft in einem kleinen Tal. Positiv: Der tolle Holz Whirlpool und der klare Bergwasser Bach waren ein absolutes Highlight. Negativ: Nichts”
