Holiday Apartment in Padua City Centre with Private Parking, Next to Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua and Beautiful View

This three-room apartment with a separate kitchen enjoys a quiet and central residential location in the south-west of Padua. It is on the first floor and provides 70m² of living space for up to four adults and a child. The accommodation was completely renovated in 2011.

The kitchen, living room and double bedroom open onto two spacious balconies, affording a beautiful view of the garden of the residential house. The site is fully enclosed. Pets are allowed on request.

You enter into the living and dining room stylishly furnished with antique wooden furniture. On one side there is the dining space with four upholstered chairs, a glass display cabinet and a dresser. On the other side there is a sofa, which can be converted into a comfortable bed for two people. A large flatscreen TV is also provided. The adjoining kitchen is fully-equipped with a four-flame gas stove, oven, toaster, kettle, mixer, espresso pot, crockery, cutlery and all other kitchen utensils. The sleeping area comprises two rooms: a large, light double bedroom with a double bed, bedside tables, reading lamps and a wardrobe, and a smaller single room with an additional TV. The daylight bathroom is fully tiled and has a bath with a shower screen, washbasin, WC and hairdryer. A washing machine and a rotary dryer are available. Towels, bed linen and toiletries are provided, along with heating and air conditioning in all the rooms.

The holiday accommodation is a perfect starting point for exploring Padua. The house is in a central district on the edge of the old town. Shops and all kinds of services can be found nearby, along with an ATM, restaurants and cafés. It is a short walk to the botanical gardens of the university, as well as the St. Antonius Basilica, one of the most famous and frequently visited sacred sites in Italy. You can walk to the Prato della Valle spanning 90,000m², the largest inner-city square in Padua and also one of the largest in the whole of Europe. It is no wonder that it is a popular place for strolling and watching the world go by. The elliptical shape of the square provides a clue that once an enormous Roman arena stood here. To explore the rest of the city you can use the well-developed public transport network. Many trams and buses stop near the apartment. You can also go on a trip to the Adriatic beaches. Just 30km to the east there is also Venice, which will entice you with its sights. Mantua, Verona and other northern Italian cultural cities are easy to get to from Padua. The owner can provide advice when planning trips, or with bookings, and can arrange transfers to and from the airport or the train station.

An iron, a DVD player and free wireless Internet access are available. A free parking space is available in the interior courtyard. You can park bikes here. Bicycle hire is available nearby.

    “Die Wohnung eignet sich sehr gut als Quartier zur Erkundung von Padua, Vicenza und Venedig (mit der Bahn je max. 1/2 Stunde), zum Wandern in den Colli Euganei (mit dem Auto). Mit dem Bus zum Bahnhof ca. 1/4 Stunde, zu Fuß ca. 1/2 Stunde. Wir würden die Wohnung wieder buchen. Der Vermieter wohnt im Haus, war sehr freundlich und unaufdringlich hilfsbereit, spricht auch etwas englisch.

    Das an einer recht stark befahrenen Straße gelegene Mehrfamilienhaus ist von außen nicht sonderlich attraktiv; die Ferienwohnung ist jedoch gepflegt, recht sauber und relativ gut ausgestattet. Kaffeemaschine gibt es keine, der Espressokocher ist sehr klein und schon reichlich "gebraucht". Für die Zwischenreinigung bei längerem Aufenthalt wäre ein guter Staubsauger wünschenswert, besonders auch für die ausgelegten Teppichläufer, die waren sehr staubig.

    "Ruhige und zentrale Wohnlage": "Altstadtnahe, verkehrsgünstig gelegene belebte Wohnlage" wäre zutreffender ausgedrückt. Da die Wohnungsfenster alle auf der Gebäuderückseite liegen, konnten wir trotzdem recht gut schlafen (gutes Bett), trotz des Autoverkehrs und der recht häufig zu hörenden Ambulanzfahrzeuge der umliegenden Krankenhäuser. Im Haus selber war es relativ ruhig.

    Das W-Lan funktionierte sehr gut. Fernseher: deutschsprachige Sender haben wir keine gefunden. Es hat auch einen DVD-Spieler, aber keine Stereo-Anlage zum Musik hören. Die Zentralheizung hat gut funktioniert. Trotz winterlicher Außentemperaturen hatten wurde es in der Wohnung schön warm.”
