    “House very spacious with lovely large enclosed garden. House had lots of antique-looking furniture and a great many ornaments. Not a problem for us as we were outside most of the time. Clearly the original owners had died and the property was being let as it was left, with drawers full of personal objects etc. Top floor much more modern and up to date.
    The house definitely needs updating, and the electricity supply is ancient: difficult to use adapters, but we managed. The showers are terrible! Washing machine fine. The cooker was substandard: oven door got extremely hot and it was difficult opening it without getting burned!
    Mattresses on most bed need replacing. House well prepared and clean, however.
    Altogether we very much enjoyed staying in the house, despite these issues.
