House in Storfors with Large Garden and Unobstructed Views

From our typical Swedish red and white holiday villa Stallhuset you will experience the proverbial Scandinavian peace and space without staying 'in the middle of nowhere' and without having to sacrifice comfort! The house (6 persons) is located in Värmland (also known as the sunniest region of Sweden) on the outskirts of the village of Storfors within walking distance of the marina and the (bathing) lakes surrounding this small rural community which is also known as the largest island in Värmland! Located along a dirt road with unobstructed views, the house offers beautiful sunsets from the spacious veranda. The railway line opposite the house does not cause any noise disturbance with only occasionally a passing characteristic freight train (tree trunks!) or an old-fashioned passenger train that stops at the idyllic station. From the house you can walk to one of the two supermarkets in the village to get fresh bread rolls and let them taste good at the picnic table in the spacious garden, which offers plenty of opportunities for the outdoors! In the village of Storfors you will find a pharmacy, doctor, dentist, 2 supermarkets, 2 pizzerias, a flower shop, library, cinema and an ATM. Important: No pets are allowed in our holiday house. Non smoking. Arrival from 3 pm, departure 11 am at the latest.

From Storfors there are endless walking or cycling trips. The central location makes a visit to the larger towns of Kristinehamn (20 min.), Filipstad (15 min.) And Karlkoga (20 min.) And the university cities of Karlstad (50 min.) And Örebro (60 min.) Possible. But there are also plenty of sights closer to you, such as the beaches with bathing jetties on the Mögsjön (2 km), the locks of Bjurbäcken (10 km) or the leisure park of Lunedet (18 km). In the winter season you will find ski slopes in Filipstad (15 min.), Ånnaboda (45 min.) And the extensive ski station Säfsen in Fredriksberg (70 min.).

    “Heerlijk en ruim huisje, voorzien van alle gemakken. Handdoeken en beddengoed zijn ideaal. Supermarkt op loopafstand. Omgeving is mooi en rustig, heerlijke natuur. Veel water, veel mogelijkheden te wandelen. Het was wel even zoeken naar de juiste plekken.
    Het huisje ligt weliswaar centraal, de afstand tot steden en bezienswaardigheden is iets groter dan we in Nederland gewend zijn.
    Het huisje staat aan het spoor, vlakbij het station. Er komen elke dag een aantal treinen voorbij. Ook 's nachts. Soms remmen ze af, soms denderen ze door. Door de stilte, maakt dit je zeker wakker.
    Tip: in het handdoekenpakket zou een handdoek voor bij de wasbak van de toilet passen.

    UItslapen was het zeker mogelijk geweest. Helaas werd deze zomer werd gewerkt aan de 'fremtid' van het dorp. Er werd glasvezel aangelegd.”

    “I can much recommend the wandering trail in the neighbourhood of the house (a bit north, a couple of minutes with the car, about 30 minutes walk) witch lead to the top of a mountain in a 'langlauf' area (I don't know the english word for it). It was stunningly beautifull! The location of the supermarket is perfect, just a short drive or even walk. Positiv: It is a very cosy, spacy house with a nice interiour. The beds are very good, guaranteed a good night sleep. Also there is a lot of information present about city's in the neighbourhood, or other sites worth seeing. Negativ: nothing, it was perfect! Ausflüge: Tivedens National Park - Very nice National Park with multiple trails to walk. When we where here (half oktober 2022) it was very quiet and serene. The trails are sometimes chalenging, especcialy for the elderly.”

    “Würde jederzeit wieder hinfahren. Positiv: Das Haus hat uns besonders gut gefallen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gaststätte und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren ganz in der Nähe. Toll Negativ: Der Ausblick war nicht so gut. War aber nicht so schlimm. Ausflüge: Trollstiegen - Nicht nur für Kinder super”
