Stroll to the wide sandy beach with sheltering dune hollows in a natural setting where beach grass and heather-covered dunes give way to extensive coastal forests with ravines. In this area you will find some of the best sandy beaches in Denmark. The sun also shines longer than usual in this part of Denmark, so you can enjoy your stay on the beach to the full. A variety of nature experiences, sights and many excursion destinations await you here. Norway and Sweden are just a stone's throw away. The crossing takes about 2 hours. Try your luck at fishing on the Uggerby Aa or take a cutter out to Det Gule Rev. Get up early and experience the fascinating atmosphere at a fish auction in Hirtshals. Admire the exciting life in the North Sea in the many aquariums at the North Sea Museum. In the eagle reserve you can observe the world's largest birds of prey at close range and in the fun park of an experimental farm you can gain an insight into modern-day livestock farming.
