    “Unsere Unterkunft befand sich im westlichen Teil der Ortslage von Cavalaire, in der Nähe des Einkaufsmarktes Carefour. Dadurch konnte man einen Strand (Bonporteau), die Strandpromenade mit den Geschäften und allen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten fußläufig erreichen. Viel angenehmer ist es natürlich, wenn man wie wir Fahrräder zur Verfügung hat. Wir waren vor dem 01.06.2019 vor Ort. Zu dieser Zeit war die Stadt noch nicht so überlaufen und Fahrten an der Küste entlang fanden nicht im für die Hauptsaison beschriebenen Dauerstau statt. Rund um Cavalaire gibt es viele Möglichkeiten, den Urlaub aktiv (Wandern/ Rad) zu gestalten.
    Von Cavalaire aus kann man nicht direkt ins Hinterland fahren. In Rtg. Osten (St. Tropez) gibt es aber einen ausgeschilderten Radweg, in Rtg. Hyers eine relativ wenig befahrene Landstraße (D 559) bis man bei Canadel (9 km) einen Radweg erreicht. Hier kann man auch das erste Mal ins (bergige) Hinterland abbiegen.
    Die Preise an der Cote d'Azur liegen höher als bei uns. Von zu Hause bekannte Artikel im gleichen Supermarkt sind hier teurer. Entsprechend ist das Preisniveau in den Lokalen.”
